Great post (the one above from AB)

What is the best size cabinet for my 416B LF driver. I understand the 846 is too small and the 825/828 is too large. I just purchased a pair of 399's from GPA so HF is not a problem. I am searching for a LF box to complete my project. Horn loaded or bass reflex is what I have in mind. I just need the correct cubic foot box. Suggestions please...
    Thanks

    hello
I bought a folder with those drawing as well, but it?s really hard to read the measures so if you have better drawings of the 210s and the 815s I?d be most grateful

Yes these are excellent to read, they are not scans from a scan they are from Altec Application notes published from Altec very legible, you don't have to squint just PM a email address and I'll attach

Re: Altec LF Enclosure Plans on Pdf.

    AB and others.
Is there an Altec box, bass reflex or horn loaded that fits this size (7.5 cubic feet)? I am really leaning toward a bass reflex box, but I am open to suggestions. I also would love to find a 1505 horn to mate with my 399's to top it off. My ultimate HiFi system...
    Thanks.

I see where there is a guy in Florida making wood horns.
His 1505's go for over $2800. YIKES, I don't want them that bad...

There is no single 'optimum' cab alignment, only an optimum based on the needs of the app, so for this one it's a generic 'one size fits all' with a ~42 Hz Fb best suited for old vinyl/tape playback or M.I. apps where there's EQ available to shape its response to the room somewhat.
